Michelle Auerbach, PhD. creatively solves problems and foments change through story across diverse contexts. First, she is a writer and a storyteller. She also works with businesses on creativity, leadership, and change through story. She works with communities on creating social good, cultural change, connection, and working across difference through story. She coaches and teaches individuals through workshops, trainings, and one-on-one explorations. She writes for the New York Times, The London Guardian, and is the author of three books: Resilience: the Life Saving Skill of Story, Alice Modern, and The third Kind of Horse.


Your hosts of Are You Waiting for Permission? are Meridith Grundei and Joseph Bennett. They're friends, co-hosts, actors, improvisers and coaches. She lives in NYC and coaches actors, business professionals and presenters to fully engage with their audience, and themselves. She also mentors young actors and directors. He lives in San Miguel de Allende, México and  coaches artists and other creative beings about the beautiful business of art — and life.
